Chiang Mai takes coffee seriously and we were not going to embarrass ourselves.
Sway buys from growers in the hills north of here, roasted locally, and the people behind the bar know what they are doing with it. You do not need to have been in the shop downstairs. Plenty of people come up, sit down and never go anywhere else in the building, which is exactly as intended.

Citrus, herbs, bitters, soda, syrup. The same things a bar works with, doing the same job for coffee they do for gin.
Which is why ours turn up in coupes and rocks glasses with rosemary in them. A drink built like that looks wrong in a paper cup.

Do I have to visit the dispensary to go to Sway CNX?
No. Sway is a coffee shop on the roof and it is open to anyone. You walk in the same door at 36 Nimmana Haeminda Road Lane 11 and go straight up. Nobody will stop you or ask why you are there.
What are Sway CNX opening hours?
08:30 to 18:30, Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sunday. These are Sway's own hours and they are not the same as The Spot dispensary on the ground floor, which stays open later. After 18:30 the roof is only open for private bookings.
Where is the best rooftop coffee in Nimman, Chiang Mai?
Sway CNX is on the roof of 36 Nimmana Haeminda Road Lane 11, on Nimman Soi 11, with a view across Nimman towards Doi Suthep. It uses beans from growers in the hills north of Chiang Mai, roasted locally.
Does Sway CNX serve cannabis drinks?
No. Sway is a normal coffee shop with no cannabis on the menu. The dispensary downstairs is a separate business with its own licence.
How much is coffee at Sway CNX?
Espresso, americano, latte, piccolo, cappuccino, cocoa and Thai tea are all 80 baht. Cold brew and mocha are 90, the orangecano, cococano and affogato 100, and the signature drinks 100 to 130. Smoothie bowls are 180 or 195 baht.
Does Sway CNX have vegan or dairy-free options?
The smoothie bowls are all made with oat milk and no added sugar. For the coffee, ask at the counter.
Can you hire the Sway CNX rooftop for a private event?
Yes. Evenings after 18:30, and Sundays. The shop closes to the public, the bar stays open and the whole rooftop floor is yours. Message us a few days ahead with rough numbers.
Is there a free coffee offer?
Yes. Add The Spot on LINE and your first coffee at Sway is free, whether or not you ever go into the dispensary.
